Rubber O-ring is a small accessory made of rubber material. Although it is small in size, it is widely used, so many manufacturers see its prospect and join the production army one after another. The manufacturing process of rubber sealing ring usually includes the following steps:

1. Preparation of raw materials: Select suitable rubber materials, such as nitrile rubber (NBR), fluororubber (FKM) and silicone rubber (VMQ). Different materials are suitable for different working environments and media.

2. Rubber mixing: rubber raw materials are mixed with additives, and after stirring and tabletting, the rubber has required properties, such as elasticity, oil resistance and high temperature resistance.

3. Pressing prefabricated parts: The mixed rubber is pressed into prefabricated parts, usually rubber sheets or rubber strip, by equipment such as a tablet press.


4. Mould making: According to the size and shape of rubber O-ring, the corresponding mould is made. The mold can be a metal mold or a rubber mold for molding rubber.

5. Forming: Put the preform into the mold for forming. In the molding process, rubber will fill the cavity of the mold and form a rubber blank with a specific size and shape.

6. Vulcanization: put the molded rubber blank into a vulcanizing furnace for vulcanization. Vulcanization is to heat the rubber blank to make it cross-link at a certain temperature, thus improving the strength and durability of rubber.

7. Cutting and shaping: The vulcanized rubber blank will become a solid sealing ring blank, and then it will be cut into a rubber O-ring with a specific diameter and thickness through cutting and shaping process.

8. Surface treatment: surface treatment is carried out on the finished sealing ring, such as coating lubricant, to improve the convenience of installation and use.

9. Quality inspection: Conduct quality inspection on the manufactured sealing ring, including performance tests such as size, hardness, oil resistance and high temperature resistance, to ensure that it meets the expected requirements.


10. Packaging and delivery: After inspection, qualified sealing rings are packaged, usually in plastic bags, cartons and other packaging methods, and then sold or used in the factory.

The manufacturing process of rubber O-ring covers many links such as material preparation, mixing, pressing, molding, vulcanization, cutting, surface treatment, quality inspection and so on. Through the fine manufacturing process, the sealing ring with excellent elasticity and durability is manufactured, which provides a key sealing guarantee for the normal operation of industrial equipment and machinery. Every link should be strictly controlled in the production process to ensure that the quality and performance of the final product meet the design requirements.
